My opinion on TAKS Test and on Benchmark Test, is that they are rediculous and they are a waist of time. I don't understand how one test determines if we move on to the next grade or not, if we passed all of our classes then I think we should be able to go to the next grade. If the student didn't pass his classes then that is their fault because they should have foucused through the year on passing and doing their work. Also this test put so many students under so much stress and gets allot of students worrying so much about it.
Benchmarks are another waist of time and we should not be taking these test, they also put students and drop their averages if they fail this one test.Why cna't we take a regular test that does not pull down our grade so much, and they make them such a big deal as if they were God like or something. Instead of making so many test and destroying forest for paper we should just have a few test that foucuses on what we've learned. These test sometimes have things we don't even know and then we get stuck on these questions and that then is supposed to be our fault because we didn't study, well that isn't ours if we didn't know how to work the problem. Maybe we should look into getting rid of these test instead of maing them such a big deal on them. This is all I have to say on these test and I hope you agree with my statement as well.
